Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Collection
It is with great respect, huge excitement and of course a hint of sadness that we release Virgil Abloh’s Off-White x Jordan 2 collection exclusively in SA.
We are honoured to drop the coveted sneakers and selected apparel, one of the last collaborative projects in a long history between the two brands, that would have no doubt continued to shape the future. Virgil Abloh’s impact opened the door for so many, and heavily popularised the entire culture we love to a world of outsiders - bringing everyone in for the ride.
When the Air Jordan 2 debuted in 1986, it was the first sneaker to bring luxury detail to a peak sport performance silhouette. Made in Italy, original pairs featured a premium look and feel that quickly earned them an iconic spot in Air Jordan history. Inspired by the heritage and impact of this legendary sneaker, the late Off-White designer added to the legacy with his own personal homage to the Air Jordan 2 Low.
Abloh's creative spark began with a question: If an Air Jordan 2 was pulled directly from a time capsule, what would it look like? So, for the first time in Nike's history, a sneaker was reverse-engineered from an original pair in the DNA Archive using three-dimensional scans of an exact pair MJ had laced up. The design process yielded unique results: because no two sneakers crumble the same way, the left and right pair of each Air Jordan 2 x Off-White has a different cracked midsole for accurate representation.
First, the white version features hits of Varsity Red and Black with exposed-foam collars, MJ’s signature on the lateral side atop a vintage/aged midsole.
Next up, the second version features a Black and Varsity Royal colour scheme. The Black base is paired with Blue accents and Blue laces, and includes the same detailing like Michael Jordan’s signature on the lateral side, Off-White branding on the medial portion, exposed-foam collars atop a cracked midsole.
Completing the collection of footwear are 5 pieces of apparel from Off-White and Nike. “Forest Green” is the star of the collection, appearing on all of the items. Monochromatic short-sleeve tees arrive in white or black and keep things simple on the front, while featuring the Off-White’s current “point-and-click” branding right above the iconic Jumpman. The included hoodies in black or white follow suit, while the accompanying jersey-cotton hybrid top switches co-branding placements on its 1990s-inspired makeup. No snapback cap or basketball shorts are included in the SA release.
The Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Collection drops this week via an online raffle and live store raffles. Please see release info, prices and sizes per store below.
ONLINE RELEASE:
The online raffle for the footwear opens 18 August at 7pm for 1 hour. You can enter for one colourway, you cannot enter twice.
The apparel drops Saturday 20 August at 9am on a first come first serve basis. One item per person only.
LIVE STORE RAFFLES:
Live store raffles will kick off on 20 August in CPT and JHB. Arm bands will be handed out from 9am, both raffles start at 10am and winners are chosen at random.
Live raffle winners may then enter the store and buy 1 item of either the footwear styles and 1 apparel item.

1. This raffle is free and open to all people residing in South Africa ONLY.
2. By entering your name, shoe size, valid bar-coded ID or Passport and email address, your name will be entered into the draw for the opportunity to buy one pair of the Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 2 in your size and selected colourway at the given date and time.
3. To qualify for the opportunity to purchase online, you must have a confirmed online profile/account with Shelflife.co.za. To create your account, please sign up. Please ensure your account is updated with contact details, and shipping information. If you have already created an account with Shelflife.co.za in the past you do not need to create a new one.
4. After completing an online profile, you can enter the raffle via our dedicated link with your details from 7pm on Thursday the 18th of August until 8pm. If you enter multiple times you will be disqualified.
5. Your entry is valid only if the following requirements are met:
• You have a valid Shelflife account with the email address matching the one used for the raffle entry
• Your valid delivery address is saved to the Shelflife account before entering the raffle.
• You have not entered multiple times with the same name, email address or ID number.
• You are residing in South Africa.
6. The winners will be drawn at random and will be contacted and invoiced between 10am and 3pm on the 19th of August, via email only (please make sure the email you have created for your online profile matches your online competition form). Online Raffle Winners will have until Saturday the 20th of August to make payment for their online order at the store they selected on the raffle entry form.
7. Successful entrants will be eligible to purchase their size they have selected ONLY in the online raffle form and must settle payment in full prior to receiving their pair.
8. Each successful entrant will have the right to purchase one pair of the Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 2 in the size they indicated on their entry. Entrants may not swap sizes nor request another size than the one they indicated in their entry.
9. The Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 2 costs R4199 and is payable via online order only. All info is contained in the winning email.
10. Shelflife has the final say in all sales of the Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 2.
No refunds or exchanges will be accepted for this product.
Any customer who does not pay without notice will be removed from future raffles.

1. Arrive at Shelflife Cape Town or Johannesburg before 9am.
2. Raffle arm bands will be handed out by Shelflife employees for 60 minutes until the live raffle draw begins at 10am. No participants can join after the the raffle begins.
3. You must have a valid ID/passport with a matching credit/debit card in order to purchase.
4. If your number gets called you gain access to the store to purchase one of the release sneakers. Please note sizes are limited and Shelflife cannot guarantee pairs, and or sizes. Only one entrant may enter and cannot be accompanied by anyone. Entrants must be over the age of 12 years old.
5. No swapping of arm bands are permitted, broken arm bands will not be accepted.
6. 1 arm band per person.
7. Shelflife has the final say in all sales of the Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 2.
