adidas Consortium x Juice - NMD Racer Juice
adidas Originals teams up with Hong Kong based sneaker boutique JUICE this month, bringing the CLOT-helmed sneaker store’s distinctivevisual aesthetic to the newest NMD silhouette, the NMD Racer. Pushing the NMD Racer’s competitive running influences to the fore, this latest release combines trademark elements of JUICE’s identitywith pure performance-led design language to create a powerful expression of the NMD Racer’s form-meets-function philosophy.
First up, a sock-fit Primeknit construction is applied across the shoe’s upper, decorated with the iconic Alienegra motif in a reflective monochrome print. Premium suede panels on the heel and eyestay then provide structure to the design, finished with essential welded 3-stripes marks and a branded heel-pull in
the Alienegra font. The collaboration then goes further with an elevated take on the new NMD Racer tooling. The shoe’s signature Boost midsole is rendered in a Core Black colorway, countered by a translucent outsole decorated with the Alienegra graphic.
This carries onto the NMD Racer’s new TPU stabilizer arch and QUICKSTRIKE forefoot inserts, countered by a white EVA plug in the heel. As a final tribute to the NMD Racer’s performance inspirations, the outsole also receives a competitive running-inspired spikes. Rounded off with textured laces and co-branded sockliners, the result is a bold collaborative debut for the latest chapter of NMD that hits the ground running in both style and substance.
