Parley x adidas Originals NMD City Sock
Already having sold one million pairs of shoes with recycled ocean plastics, the partnership between Parley For The Oceans and adidas has much larger goals in 2018 to continue the cause for ridding the world’s waters of waste.
This collaboration reflects the two brands’ commitment to tackling marine plastic pollution and features a one-piece Primeknit construction with a contoured, sock-like fit. A closer look, however, reveals that the Primeknit has been constructed using Parley Ocean Plastic yarn, up-cycled plastic waste that is intercepted from beaches and coastal communities-before it reaches the ocean. In keeping with the colours of the Oceans, the Parley x NMD CS1 is rendered in a clean Blue colourway with contrast black striping details, finished with a branded woven heel pull. This is then placed atop a classic white NMD Boost tooling, complete with tonal white EVA insert plugs and a recycled rubber outsole.
