PUMA Thunder Spectra

2018 is shaping up to be the year of the dad sneaker, and Puma, typically known for their sleek and sophisticated designs, is throwing their hat in the ring with a new colourway of the Thunder Electric, their newest take on chunky footwear inspired by details from their McQ Tech Runner Low, designed by the late Alexander McQueen.

The Puma Thunder Spectra is a shoe for the new era of sports fashion. The Thunder pays homage to past collaborations and silhouettes ahead of their time. Inspired by 90s running silhouettes and the PUMA x McQueen collaboration, the style is a reimagined pair of kicks with a bulky, unapologetic look and feel. The exaggerated tooling, the blown-up proportions and the loud color blocking really allow the Thunder to stand out among its competition. Simply put, the Thunder Spectra takes an unconventional approach to design that break focus and commands attention.

The Puma Thunder Spectra comes with features such as mesh and nubuck  on the upper done in Black, Red, Yellow and Blue paired up with a moulded TPU system. Puma vibes are present by way of the Puma formstripe that runs parallel along the lateral sides of the shoe. The medial sides opts for more a fashion-like finish. A wavy chunk midsole utilizing three colours and minimal Puma branding on the heel and tongue complete the look of the Puma Thunder Spectra.

The Puma Thunder Spectra will restock at our CPT, online and JHB store on the 25th of May for the retail price of R2499.00
