PUMA CELL Alien OG
CELL cushioning tech is a big deal, so much so that PUMA has already pulled two pinnacle models from its lineage out of the archives in celebration of the CELL Endura and Venom's 20th anniversary. Following PUMA's release of CELL Endura and Venom comes the CELL Alien OG, dropping exclusively to Shelflife. 
Returning in its original form, the Puma Cell Alien features a white mesh upper that's accented by black leather overlays along with a blue Formstripe on the sides, which sits atop a white midsole and a yellow hexagonal Cell air bubble on the heel. 
The Cell Alien is not to be mistaken as part of the "dad shoe" trend still looming in the sneaker space. "The dad shoe is trying to be offensive and chunky. The Cell Alien came from an era where you really wanted to show off, while dad shoe tried to be conservative. The Cell franchise always tried to be innovative with new shapes, new aesthetics, and a new design language," according to Erman Aykurt, Creative Director of PUMA Sportstyle. 
The PUMA CELL Alien OG drops this Thursday 16 May for the retail price of R1999 exclusively to Shelflife CPT, JHB and online store via first come first served. The JHB and online store will have pairs available from 9am, CPT at 10am.
