Introduced in the mid-90’s, Lil' Penny; a loud mouthed and outspoken puppet used to represent NBA all star Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway’s alter ego; grew in infamy through a series of Nike television commercials by the advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy.
Voiced by popular comedic figure, Chris Rock, Lil' Penny and his slew of adverts grew in popularity, seeing the puppet appear in conjunction with a collection of the Hardaway's Air Penny and Air Half Cent lines.
