Nike Sportswear celebrates the city of New Orleans by dressing three off-court models; the Air Up ’14, Air Force 1 Low CMFT, and Flystepper 2K3; with distinct designs to represent aspects of the city’s food, culture and diverse wildlife.
Honing in on the city’s cuisine, the Air Up ’14 represents the signature New Orleans dish, boiled crawfish, with a bold red upper complete with steamy swirls and water droplet graphics.
As the best of the best come together in the Big Easy, the Nike Air Force 1 pays tribute in kind. Like gumbo, the Air Force 1 Low brings together materials and prints from the model’s most memorable uppers, merging foamposite, cork, faux alligator skin, pony hair, as well as safari and elephant print, onto one silhouette.
Finally, inspired by the wildlife of the surrounding areas, the Flystepper2K3 – a casual high top blending the Flystepper silhouette with the perforated quarter panes of the Zoom Flight 2K3 – makes use of faux-alligator skin to represent the king of the bayou.
