"Just Don" - Don Crawley

The premium snapback leader. Don "Don C" Crawley reinvented the style of baseball hats when he launched his Just Don snapbacks in 2011. The Chicago native drew inspiration from his hometown, where locals in the ‘80s donned hats called "buck fifty" caps, which were customized with faux snakeskin and sold at local convenience stores.

In the earlier days, you could have caught Don Crawley as a push-button DJ, handling day to day operations, or working with G.O.O.D music artists. Don C is one of Kanye West’s best friends and helps him with a number of tasks, projects, and work. However, Don C is notorious for those signature snakeskin-billed “Just Don” hats on everyone's heads for years now.

The idea and inspiration came from his younger days in Chicago when the infamous hats were known as “buck 50 hats” due to them being $150.00. Team hats were re-created with glued on fake snake skin on the bill, button, and back snap of the hats.

With the extra effort and creative mind of Don C, he decided to re-create the idea and bring it to the next level. His idea was to actually decompose the team hats to install the detailed skin, while adding his signature “Just Don” pin on the back straps for a detailed, and more authentic look.

Since 2011, “Just Don” hats have become extremely popular in the hip hop and fashion culture, evolving from just Chicago hustlers. With the success of the “Just Don” hats, Don C was able to collaborate with Air Jordan to create the “Just Don” Air Jordan 2, which is arguably one of 2015’s hottest sneaker releases.
