Castle Lite Unlocks with Chance the Rapper

Castle Lite has amazed South Africans once again by bringing yet another one of Hip-Hop’s biggest to perform for one night only in Johannesburg. It seems no artist is too big for Castle Lite with past years having seen the likes of Bryson Tiller, Travis Scott, J Cole, NAS and even Kanye West and Future perform at their Castle Light Unlocks concerts.

This year is no different with headliner Chance the Rapper, arguably one of the most popular Hip-Hop artists at the moment. Chance’s breakthrough independent album, “Acid Rap” was released in 2013 and went unofficially platinum through mixtape website Datpiff. Chance followed this now-legendary mixtape with the star-studded “Colouring Book” tape in 2016, the first album to get onto Billboard’s 200 from streaming alone. The Rapper went on to receive three Grammy awards in 2017, which included best rap album, best new artist and best rap performance. Chance is also a passionate activist for social justice, receiving a BET Humanitarian award and being invited to talk with Obama at The White House.

Needless to say, this concert is not worth missing.

The Castle Lite Unlocks Concert will be held on the 30th of April at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg.

Unfortunately there is no love for Cape Town.

Tickets for Golden Circle and General Admission are on sale at Computicket here.
