Avenue x adidas Consortium EQT Support 93/16

adidas Consortium continues its collaborative series with European-based retailers on the forthcoming Avenue-designed EQT Support 93/16 release. Avenue, the Belgium based footwear boutique founded by Lina Fredriksson, worked with Michael Hernandez of design studio Bruin Co. and Oregon’s High Street Gallery to produce an upscale leisure EQT Support pack.

Based on Belgium’s iconic fashionista’s, The Antwerp Six which included the likes of Martin Margiela and Dries van Noten, you can see why such a premium feel has been executed by both parties. The upper is made out of an aniline leather complete with woven detailing. These 2 materials mean there is so much texture and depth that an over elaborate colour palette is not needed. The use of aniline leather means that the leather still has a grain to it from the original hide which is very rarely seen on sneakers these days. This is then accompanied by adidas’ now iconic BOOST midsole.

The use of these premium materials means that Avenue have not had to go all out with the colours that they have used to make the sneaker stand out. Instead they have opted for a subdued tan and black colourway on both sneakers and both pop in the right way.

The Avenue x adidas Consortium EQT Support 93/16 pack will drop in CPT, JHB and online on Saturday the 3rd of June 2017. Please see size details below
