A Look Inside the AMBUSH x Gentle Monster Pop-up
AMBUSH and Gentle Monster celebrated their sunglasses collaboration this weekend in Seoul with a special pop-up. Yoon of AMBUSH joined forces with South Korea's Gentle Monster to create safety glasses-styled eyewear, retrofitted with AMBUSH’s design cues of course, while also producing t-shirts in matching colours. And the venue for the pop-up was as eye-catching as the products themselves, with a massive centrepiece statue stealing the show. Take a tour! 



The glasses utilise an acetate frame and have been doused with AMBUSH’s zip tie designs, contrasting against the translucent frames that are offered up in clear, blue, and orange iterations. Each pair is priced at 350,000 KRW (just over R4K) and according to Yoon herself, are inspired by David Bowie’s 1976 film, The Man Who Fell To Earth, in which a human-like alien who comes to Earth in search of water. The pop-up ran from 11 July to 14 July at Gentle Monster's BAT space.
