Jaden Smith x New Balance
Jaden Smith further impacted the realm of fashion last year when he officially inked a deal with New Balance, and now the multi-hyphenate is gearing up to build upon his sneaker momentum by bringing more Vision Racers to life. This forthcoming duo will be the first offerings to launch since the CTV3 artist dropped his silhouette in a 'Hi-Vis Yellow' palette last November.
Next in line is a two-pronged drop which features simple-yet-tasteful schemes of neutral upper layers merged with louder hot pink accents. The darker rendition is dependent on solid black to swathe its leather base and chunky/segmented midsoles alike, only which gives way for extra-vibrant pink 'Vision Racer' branding pasted to the tongues and in repetitive fashion across the mudguards to stand out overtly. Up close, one can see the tonal 'NB' logo placed onto the heels, as well as the overlays which are given a cement-like pattern. Underneath, the shoe is coupled with a translucent treading.
The second pair also carries see-through outsoles and allows the same shade of pink to colour-block in the identical areas, only showing off deviations with its heightened layer and midsoles. With a cleaner approach, Smith applies a bright white to the upper, but instead of making use of leather fabric, opts to go with a combination of mesh and suede paneling.
