Basketball courts have become quite the art installation in the past decade. We’ve seen the likes of Pigalle and even local hero Karabo Poppy put their spin on the concrete. It makes for an amazing piece of functional art. And those top-down shots are always crazy.
Based in Hong Kong, Xeme (known as the the Pixel King) has given a court in Hong Kong his own makeover. He adds his geometric and pixel style to the court by using a suggestive abstract representation. The piece even extends onto the surrounding walls of the court.
Xeme partnered with PROJECT MOVEMENT who aim to transform neighbourhoods through the impact of the work of different artists in large format. They combine art and sports to create an impact in the city.
