Puma links up with German-born designer Tomas Maier to release a special version of the Puma Roma 1968. In the year 1968 Puma released the aptly named Roma 1968, to honour the Azzurri European Championship winners. Now, almost 50 years later, it’s back but better than ever, having been reworked and simplified by design God Tomas Maier (Creative Directer at Italian luxury house Bottega Venetta). Tomas knows a few things about making leather look good, and these shoes are no exception.

The Tomas Maier x PUMA Roma 1968 features a white leather upper that has been decorated with Tomas Maier’s signature palm tree motif debossed across it. Other details include a buttery black suede on the PUMA formstripe on the side panels, “Tomas Maier” debossed onto the heels, Gold foil “Roma 68” branding on the side panels, and PUMA branding on the tongue. A gum rubber outsole completes the design.

Limited to 200 pairs worldwide, the Tomas Maier x Puma Roma 1968 will drop exclusively at Shelflife on Saturday the 16th of September for the retail price of R2699.00
