Steve Harrington, Parra & More at 'ZOO' Exhibition in Belgium

Vibrant anthropomorphism is in full effect at Brussel’s latest exhibition. Titled, ‘ZOO’, the showcase sees 11 prominent artists come together to show off a set of paintings and installations. The theme revolves around the idea that the “anthropomorphic image in the media expresses a collective reality that is often shared unconsciously.”
With that in mind, the selected artists often merge human-like characteristics with those of animals, all while also exploring its relation to pop culture and emerging media.
Highlights of the exhibition include a sculpture of Steve Harrington’s Mello dog character, works by Parra featuring his signature Parra Bird and a drawing of Todd James’ animated figures. Elsewhere, an entire room is filled with Egle Zvirblyte’s wall paintings and installations, while a vast mural showcases Pablo Dalas’ graffiti-inspired work. Other artists include Pablo Dalas, Egle Zvirblyte, Todd James, Russel Maurice, Marti Sawe, Ryan Travis Christian, Rhys Lee, Finsta and Laurent Impeduglia.
