SELFISH VANDALS SOCIAL CLUB Battle

This Thursday 7 June the SELFISH VANDALS SOCIAL CLUB are holding a Graffiti battle for anyone up to the challenge. Returning after 15 years, the event has made improvements to the format, ensuring the best possible competition between writers.

To enter the battle, each writer has to put three cans into the pot to compete for. Each writer will be given three random letters to write in 3 minutes, using three cans of any colour or size. All writers will paint at the same time, with the judges deciding each round’s winner. This differs from the last one where the crowd response was used to decide the best piece.

The winner from each round claims the cans in the pool and advances to the next round, with the pieces being painted over with white at the end of each round. Every round the pot gets refilled by the writers that are battling. The battle will continue until everyone’s has had a round and the winners of each round have battled each other down till there is only one.

Keen on competing? Head down to the alley opposite Kamili Coffee on Harrington Street, Cape Town, at 18:30 this Thursday 7 June. Remember your three cans for the pot, and three to paint with.

Need Montana cans? Buy them here.
