Rain 5G is Here!

Rain 5G is Here!
Rain has just launched their new 5G service in South Africa! You've probably seen a lot about 5G networks in the news recently but what exactly is it? Simply put, it's super fast internet only using a sim card and the mobile network infrastructure. And how fast exactly? Rain is saying their new 5G service can hit whopping speeds over 700 Mbps in ideal conditions. An average speed of 200 Mbps is expected though, plenty of bandwidth for all your devices to stream, surf and game from.

And worrying about usage is a thing of the past too! Rain's 5G service is offering customers an uncapped package for R1000 a month. You can also order a state-of-the-art Huawei 5G home router currently at a discounted price, allowing the whole gang to get connected. The router itself is a powerhouse, combining Rain's new 5G service with its own WIFI 6 technology and gigabit ethernet ports to get you the very best in performance.

While it's currently only available in Joburg and Tshwane, Rain has plans to expand the coverage rapidly. During 2020, Rain hopes to expand the network to Cape Town and Durban, and in due course cover all of metropolitan South Africa with 2,000 live 5G sites. Currently, it's only available to a select group of existing customers
If you don't fall within the 5G coverage, register your interest here in the meantime.
