Puma R698 New York Pack
Inspired by the Big Apple, PUMA have unveiled the “New York” pack. Both the R698 and Blaze of Glory silhouettes are decorated in colours of the New York Yankees and New York Knicks teams.
The Knicks pair, meanwhile, heavily represents the basketball team’s colours with blue and orange mixed with black accents for contrast. Whilst orange dominates the upper, blue hits on the heel and toe add some pop, with black thrown into the mix on the toe and mid-foot to tone things down a little. Sat below is a white midsole, which adds some stark contrast, but orange and blue details tie everything together.
The New York Yankees pair, that pays honour to the popular sports team, dresses in a combination of shades of grey across the upper in a mix of various materials, for a look that walks a line between subtle and head-turning. The midsole continues the subtle colours, with splashes of grey adding some element against a white back drop. To finish off the kick - there are a couple of hits of blue on the heel and on the tongue branding, which add a bit of pop.
