Nike have announced the introduction of their new retail app, aimed at blending the worlds of physical shopping and smartphone technology into one.
Nike’s new app aims to enhance the retail experience in three key areas. The first allows customers to see if their size is in store, and allows for same-day reservations. Push notifications will then notify the customer when their sneaker is ready for collection. The second aspect introduced is aimed at NikePlus members, and will give members access to special Nike products, exclusive discounts, and partner rewards for their shopping activity in the Nike App.
Lastly, and possibly the coolest feature, is the ability to scan the barcodes of sneakers in store, allowing users to learn more about the sneaker, discover available sizes and colours, as well as see real-time inventory online and in-store without having to ask a store employee for help. Customers are even able to select items to try on from the app, which will notify employees to get the items ready for fittings.
The Nike At Retail App is currently only available at Nike Santa Monica in America, with the app set to hit all Nike locations later this year!
