The shoe is steeped in history which dates back to 1987 when Tinker Hatfield’s design first hit the stores. The inspiration behind this now infamous model was actually acquired during a trip to Paris, where Hatfield saw the Pompidou. The glass exterior of the building meant that what was inside, could be seen from outside. This is exactly the case with Nike’s Air Max technology and the visible air unit in the heel.

This release features a premium build with a hairy suede-like material all throughout the upper. It was a stellar release, but it was only available in understated tones of black and beige. Now, Nike has given this ladies sneaker a huge splash of vibrancy with a brand new colourway

This Nike Womens Air Max 1 Royal Red continues the legacy in a lovely bright colourway. Royal Red is complimented with hits of Gold on the midsole and inner lining. This classic combination of colours looks great and comes with a set of red laces. A white outsole adds a nice twist to the silhouette while branding on the tongue and heel finish off the look.

The Nike WMNS Air Max 1 Royal Red will be available at Shelflife on the 4th of June 2016 for the retail price of R2799.00
