Released in 1996, Nike's hybrid sneaker-sandal; the Air Rift; saw Nike's first venture into the world of running footwear.
Inspired by the barefoot running style of competitive Kenyan athletes; as well as the Kenyan landscape - particularly the Great Rift Valley; Nike's progressive running silhouette included a unique split-toe design and easily adjustable Velcro straps to aid in the natural motion feel.
Sporting a moisture-wicking engineered mesh build; that encourages ventilation and promotes a sock-like supportive fit; the Air Rift returns in two OG colourways; seeing black and Concord bases, accentuated by colourful hits.
