Nike Air Huarache Collection
First released in 1992, the Nike Air Hurarche quickly became a favorite silhouette due to its futuristic and minimalist design. Blending elements from traditional Mexican sandals and neoprene water skiing boots, legendary sneaker designer, Tinker Hatfield, in conjunction with Eric Avar, crafted a silhouette that boasted high levels of functionality and comfort, as well as an interesting aesthetic on foot, seeing the inner neoprene sleeve offer a secure fit while the outer cage promoted stability. Later innovations; including a foot strap along the midsection and synthetic exoskeleton around the ankle; gave rise to the Air Flight and Air Trainer Huararche.
Using the concept of opposing emotions, Love and Hate, Nike fits a span of its popular Air Huarache models with a blend of premium materials in bold; red and black; contrasting colourways for the two part release of the Love/Hate Pack.
