First released in 1992, the Nike Air Flight Hurarche quickly became a favorite silhouette, made famous by the collegiate team, the Fab 5 Michigan Wolverines, a group of five freshmen players who wore the Huaraches during many games along their path to a 1992 NCAA Final appearance.

Designed by legendary sneaker designer, Tinker Hatfield, in conjunction with Eric Avar, the Air Flight Hurarche took inspiration from the elements of traditional Mexican sandals, aiming to blend their lightweight feel with the snug fit of neoprene water skiing boots. From this, the combination of the Air Flight Hurarche's inner lining and exoskeleton boasted high levels of functionality and comfort, as well as an unique minimalist design and interesting aesthetic on foot, seeing the neoprene sleeve offer a secure fit while the outer cut-out overlay and TPU support strap increased stability and breathability.

Retroing in 2014, the Nike Air Flight Hurarche returns in its most revered colourway - the OG "Bold Berry" - seeing a blend of white featherlite leather and black synthetics contrast with hits of vibrant Bold Berry and Lyon Blue. With only minor modifications, the 2014 Nike Air Hurarche releases as an almost replica of the '92 release, seeing the heel tab branding swap out purple for white.
