New Balance 740 "Worthy Express" and "LA"

First released in 1985, the New Balance 740 Worthy debuted with particular special significance as New Balance's first athlete appointed silhouette in collaboration with NBA all-star player, James Worthy. Growing in popularity, the P740 OG “Worthy Express” quickly rose to icon status due to "Big Game James" Worthy's three NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers, including a Finals MVP performance in 1988.

Accompanying the original black and white New Balance P740 OG “Worthy Express”, the previously unreleased P740 "LA" drops for the first time in a white and violet colourway, resembling the Los Angeles Lakers uniform.

Both the OG black and white "Worthy Express" and the white and purple "LA" edition return with Worthy 740 's original features, seeing a full-grain leather build complemented by black and purple hits respectively. Complete with an EVA CORE midsole for off and on court stability, as well as a reinforced padded ankle collar for a secure fit, both the P740 "Worthy Express" and the "LA" offer a comfortable ride.
