MURAL Festival 2019 in Montreal

The MURAL Festival in Montreal recently launched its annual street art installment that featured sprawling new murals across Saint Laurent Boulevard, live music performances, and other creative programming during the two-weekend-long edition.

Both international and local artists participated in creating street artworks including vivid pieces by Ben Johnston, Insane 51, Miss Van, PichiAvo, Spidertag, Germ Dee (title piece above), Joshua Vides, Waxhead, among others.

For those who don't know, Ben Johnston is a South African raised writer. He has a serious desire to push what is possible with typography & lettering, finding inspiration from the small cultural nuances to societal differences that he encounters throughout his travels. See his piece below!
