Jordan Brand Flight 23 Grand Opening

Jordan Brand’s Flight 23, the first ever Jordan-only retailer, celebrated its grand opening over the weekend.

Rather than opting for the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony, Flight 23 at Footaction opened its doors on West 34th Street, with Jordan Brand president Larry Miller, Footaction CEO Jake Jacobs and filmmaker Spike Lee, untying a pair of oversized elephant-print laces. Other Jordan Brand affiliates and celebrities attended the launch, including Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Liles, Earl Thomas, 50 Cent, CC Sabathia.

Jordan Brand president Larry Miller welcomed the public to the world of Flight 23, “With Flight 23, we’re thrilled to bring the Jordan Brand vision to life in three-dimensional form, only steps from where Michael himself experienced some of his finest moments as a player. Through our partnership with Footaction, we’ve created a retail experience that not only pays homage to where Jordan Brand has been, but also speaks to our vision for the future.”

Fully stocked with Jordan footwear and apparel, the space further celebrates the brand through its interior aesthetic, with the famed elephant print adorning the walls, retro “Wings” logos on the floor, and a chandelier comprised of 340 gold Jumpman emblems arranged in the number ‘23’.
