Jade Doreen Waller 'Overload' Solo Exhibition at London's Graffik Gallery

London's Graffik Gallery welcomes the artwork of South African contemporary artist, Jade Doreen Waller. Opening on the 24th of July, Waller's first international solo exhibition, Overload, features a brand new body of work comprised of clusters of  images of food, toys, pills, cartoon characters, accessories, skulls and other miscellaneous objects.

Multi layered and symbolic, Waller relays the inner workings of her mind and creative process by juxtaposing a collection of objects into a visually striking onslaught. With a vivid use of colour and intricate attention to detail, Waller blends traditional Dutch and Flemish and Pop Surrealism techniques, engaging her audience in a discourse of contemporary urban subculture, and the overload of overwhelming consumerist culture.
