International CannaTech Summit Coming to Cape Town

While it may be hard to believe, the International Cannabis Summit CannaTech is coming to the Mother City towards the end of the year. This is the first time the summit has ever happened on the continent but it follows perfectly from our recent achievement of legalising Cannabis in South Africa.

But why Cape Town of all places?

Since our legalisation of production and export of Marijuana, South Africa is set to become a global frontrunner in the industry, according to CannaTech. This opportunity is increased by SA’s inexpensive land and labour force, ideal climate for growing and our recent ruling to decriminalise the personal use of Marijuana. Lesotho has been granted the continent’s first license to grow and export legal medical cannabis, with other African countries investigating legalisation too. With the industry expected to be worth R27 Billion by 2032, the opportunity for South Africa to make it big is definitely there!

“The global interest in Africa’s cannabis market and South Africa’s recent legislative acceptance of cannabis makes Cape Town the perfect destination for CannaTech. Showcasing leading-edge R&D, industry mavens, and thought leaders, CannaTech is a premier event contributing to the growth of the medical cannabis ecosystem.”

With this year's Cannabis Expo being a huge success, there is no doubt this international summit will be welcomed with open arms.

The International CannaTech Summit is happening in Cape Town from 24-26 November at the V&A Waterfront.
