Inside Louis Vuitton's Secret Footwear Atelier

Located a few kilometres from Venice, Louis Vuitton's footwear Atelier is sure to make your jaw drop. Not only for the amazing but very secret footwear they make within, but also the location and building that surrounds the LV team. The ‘Magical Shoebox’ Atelier is extremely secretive, with little to be seen from outside. Luckily, HYPEBEAST got inside for a quick tour of the LV bunker. And yes, this is the very place Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton sneakers are assembled.

The building houses nearly 4273 square metres of workshops, with the centre featuring a patio that offers an opening to the sky and a giant pump-shaped sculpture by Joana Vasconcelos that commands the rectangular lawn.

The bunker-looking Atelier is actually well-lit, despite what it looks like from the outside - even letting sun in on grey days. Andy Warhol art is also seen throughout, including the entrance and near a small on-site museum dedicated to Louis Vuitton shoes and archives (at the bottom).
