Artist Christopher Chan, better known as Honorroller, presents his first interactive exhibition with a heavy dose of sneaker sculptures. If his work looks familiar, you might have seen it as the trophy for MTV's new Sneaker Wars series.
Titled As Long as I’ve Got My Health, and My Millions of Dollars, and My Gold House, and Rocket Car, I Don’t Need Anything Else, the upcoming exhibition is Chan's first show where multiple sculptures will be displayed together. This includes Jordan 1s, Yeezys, Off-White and even Gucci Slides all being re-made into their blocky alter-ego. A couple of celebrities also get the blocky treatment with A$AP Yams and Biggie being celebrated. But that’s not all. As you can see, the blocky sneaker creations also function as standalone planters for your home. See some of his work below!
Honorroller said that he, “combines sculpture, illustration, and design in his practice in order to explore social constructs, branding, popular culture, and the transition from youth to adulthood. This exhibition brightly illustrates the excessive, materialistic, and the manner of human play.”
