A first of its kind, Danielle Clough is opening her 'Highly Strung’ exhibition in Cape Town tomorrow night. Danielle, also known as Fiance Knowles
, has mostly showcased and sold her work online in the past. This Thursday gives us the opportunity to see and connect with the Clough’s work, to see the textures, shine and rich colours that comes with experiencing the embroidery craft in person.
Combining art and craft, Clough’s show aims to make her work accessible in a space where you can enjoy the things that she enjoys making. ‘Highly Strung’ will be a light, fun space to appreciate threaded images of Liquorice all sorts, Jeff Goldblum and a wall of pompoms. With all this and more, the show emulates the bottom of your grandmother’s sewing box with its scatterings of bits and bobs, odd buttons and loose threads, portraiture and pompoms. Ultimately, it represents an array of things collected over time. The exhibition will also feature exclusive work from Danielle Clough that you can buy!
The 'Highly Strung' Exhibition by Danielle Clough opens to the public Thursday 28 November at 5:30pm until 18th of January. 99 Loop Street, Cape Town. Don't miss this one!
