You’ve beaten your friends, your co-workers, your brothers, your sisters, and now you’ll have to beat everyone in South Africa to earn your spot at the eWorld Cup Playoffs. If you love FIFA 18, then the upcoming VS Gaming Festival is where you need to be this weekend.
Last year, the VS Gaming Festival made its debut as an event aimed at celebrating gaming and the culture that surrounds it. The FIFA tournament was extremely popular, with the top player from the day receiving a R500,000 cash prize. This year however VS Gaming have gone all out to make it even better than the last. The South African gaming festival is proud to announce the first ever South Africa partnership with the official FIFA 18 eWorld Cup Qualifiers. Over 1000 players will compete across both Xbox and Playstation platforms in order to determine the two best South African FIFA 18 players to represent South Africa overseas. On top of the opportunity to represent SA’s FIFA internationally, VS Gaming will be offering a massive prize pool of R1,5 million to the best players from the weekend.
Not all attendees have to compete either. There will be musical performances from Riky Rick, Cassper Nyovest, Sketchy Bongo and Shekhinah, to name a few. The whole weekend will also be hosted by Jason Goliath and will have various celebrity appearances throughout.
If you would like to compete in the FIFA 18 eWorld Cup Qualifiers, please register here. If you’re not wanting to play and just want to have a good time, buy tickets here. The VS Gaming Festival is being held this weekend 5 - 6 May at Montecasino in Johannesburg.
