Eat Out Launch App
Eat Out, the famous South African guide to food, launched their first app last week! It’s a super exciting move from the the publication who have established themselves as an authority in the food industry over the years.
The free app offers you a one-stop-shop for all that's needed when deciding where to eat out. You can browse their restaurant directory - which is the biggest in the country, with customer and critic reviews, restaurant ratings, photos, menus and specials available to guide your choice. The app also uses geo-location to tell you which restaurants are nearby for the most convenience, as well as giving you directions. This is all done within an extremely user-friendly app that is appealing to the eye.
The app takes its service one step further though. It offers users an amazing booking platform that allows you to book a restaurant right from the Eat Out app. The team at Eat Out worked closely with a wide variety of SA restaurants to determine exactly what their needs were when it came to taking reservations from customers. This approach resulted in the app having two modes for taking bookings: a Lite and a Pro version.
The Pro version allows restaurants to take bookings by request if capacity is limited. The Lite version allows customers to make instant bookings, to enable restaurants to streamline all reservations, configure tables beforehand and send notifications to members of staff. Once a reservation has been made, the customers are able to share this information to other’s that includes a map with directions. Any of your favourite restaurants can also be bookmarked for future too.
