Cans With Purpose Lockdown Initiative

If you’ve been wanting to help the less fortunate during this lockdown but you’re not sure how, Cans With Purpose might be perfect for you. The initiative aims to raise money for the 9 million children that go hungry while schools are closed for lockdown.

This extremely worthy cause was launched by long time friend of Shelflife Brad Stern and has already gained serious traction nationwide. In the first 2 weeks, Cans With Purpose raised over R250 000 in donations for Afrika Tikkun, an organisation that works to provide nutritious meals to children across South Africa.

With half a million Rand raised so far, they show no signs of slowing down on their mission to feed hungry kids either. They've received generous donations from brands and companies like Acer, Pick 'n Pay, FutureLife, M&A Saatchi and more. They are also calling on new retailers and banks to create donations stations in their entrances - find out more about that here.

You can get involved and donate via EFT or Snapscan here. And be sure to follow them @CansWithPurpose and @Superiate.
