The 2019 Bazique festival is almost upon us. Starting this Friday, the most talked about art and music festival of the season will be running the entire weekend at Elgin Grabouw Country Club.
In terms of music, you can expect a massive 5 stages. These include the art-immersive Kraal Stage, Corona Ukudlala Stage, the electric Ballroom of the La Fee Verte stage, a Silent Disco Stage, as well as Blue Lotus Chill out stage for a change of pace. Needless to say, there is something for everyone. Check out the full line-up per stage here.
The art and architecture set to be on display at Bazqiue is also jaw-dropping. Bazique’s huge, scenic lakeside beaches are the perfect backdrop for large scale site art, that can be danced in, on or around. You can also expect the spectacle of art boats and rafts on the large lake, as well as art cars similar to what you would see at Afrikaburn. Check out the list of artists here.
Food is another strong point for the festival. Bazique will have Cape Town’s best food trucks and a meander of exotic bars dotted across the site, ensuring everyone is happy. You are also allowed to bring your own glass-free booze, provided it stays in the campsite. Glamping packages are on offer as well. They offer a shaded seating area with a Breakfast Bar serving wraps, gourmet coffee and Bloody Mary’s for those wanting a VIP experience. Normal camping tickets come standard with a festival ticket.
The Elgin Grabouw Country Club venue promises a warm water swimming dam surrounded by mountains and fringed by 2km of sandy beaches with horizon sunrises and sunsets. And yes, this year there really will be water in the dam!
Bazique Festival 2019 starts this Friday 15 March at 10:00 and runs until Sunday 17 March 19:00 at the Elgin Grabouw Country Club. Get your tickets here.
