Ballantine”s True Music Series x Felipe Pantone x WHS
Ballantine’s True Music Series featuring kinetic street artist Felipe Pantone has finally hit the Mother City!
Moved by the Latin phrase, Motu Proprio, Felipe Pantone would find his spot and paint whatever came into his head. Often jumping from city to city, the artists’ nomadic upbringing created connections to people rather than places – which is perhaps why his work continues to transcend language barriers. To date, his art has adorned iconic music spaces including Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel and featured in music videos for Anderson Paak and an album cover for Julian Casablancas.
Felipe’s work fuses bold graphics, strong contrasts and vivid colours with mixed typography to create ultra-modern art that often brings music to life. His artwork will connect to sound reactive projectors in each space, creating its own equaliser and allowing both musicians and fans to experience a visual representation of the music produced. It’s going to be a fully immersive experience unlike any other.
In the finale of the Kid Fonque Presents x True Music Series South African Tour – Felipe’s artwork will touchdown in Guga S'thebe in Langa where We House Sundays’ curated lineup of artists will witness their music be brought to live through Felipe’s enigmatic designs.
