The Air Jordan XXX will be dropping this Saturday and is the latest silhouette to receive the classic Carolina Blue colours.
The shoe is once again designed by legendary Nike designer - Tinker Hatfield, the man behind the Air Jordan line's most memorable silhouettes. Tinker Hatfield first started his work on the sneaker back in February 2015, at the request of Michael Jordan himself. His design began with a sample on an infamous photo of Michael Jordan from the 1988 Dunk Contest, which evolved into a galactic figure known as "Mister Cosmos" through Hatfield's handiwork. Hatfield then brought in fellow designer Mark Smith to flesh out the silhouette, and the two collaborated on bringing the Jordan 30 to life.
This player exclusive Air Jordan XXX looks a lot like the initial release colourway that we saw in February, but replaces the shoes Black fade on the back heel with Carolina Blue to give it that traditional UNC feeling.
Like all other XXX colourways, this pair keeps the orange tongue intact, which appears to be one of the trademark design elements of this new Air Jordan model.
The Air Jordan XXX “UNC” - University Blue will drop this Saturday at Shelflife for the retail price of R2499.00
