Montana recently highlighted an artist on their blog that is doing things a little differently. While they normally showcase graffiti artists, this time they focused on Portuguese artist Aheneah.
She combines two of her worlds. Namely, embroidery and cross stitching as a heritage from her grandma, combined with her studies as a graphic designer. Two passions that according to her are more united than it may seem in principle because the cross stitching works like pixels.
Her work is really a sight to behold, from far and near. At first glance, you might even think it was done with spray paint. Aheneah does however use aerosols to finish off her works of thread. Check out the installations below as well as the crazy process she goes through.
