The adidas Originals ZX series holds a collection of some of the best running shoes of all time.

Originating in 1984, adidas set out with the goal to develop an extensive range of running shoes that would cater to the vast needs and abilities of professional and recreational runners. Having designed and adapted each model in the series to suit a variety of functions and specifications, the ZX range birthed a broad collection of shoes that covered all types of running forms; from all-terrain, long-distance, sprint, joggers to recreational running and more.

After only a few years, the ZX series grew exponentially, seeing the originally released ‘00s (hundreds) series extend to the ‘000s (thousands) collection. Furthermore, late 80’s saw breakthrough advancements in footwear innovations, with adidas introducing the Torsion system and Soft Cell technologies. Such design innovations cemented the popularity of the ZX series, seeing models in the collection deemed as the archetypal training shoe.

1987 saw the introduction of the ZX 710. Infused with the tech innovations from the era, the silhouette boasted an optimum blend of cushioning, guidance, and control, making it a perfect model for both training and lifestyle wear.

Almost thirty years after its initial inception, the adidas Originals ZX 710 OG returned for its first retro reissue in its original colourway. Sporting a crisp White Vapour upper; built with panels of soft suede and nylon mesh; hits of Fresh Green scatter across shoe, from the laces, tongue, heel branding and adidas logo on the mid-sole. Further Fresh Green accents feature along the double-layer Three Stripes, while a hit of red highlights adidas branding at the tongue. Finishing off the look, the white and cream mid-sole, with vintage-looking EVA heelpiece, features the ZX range’s signature Dellinger webbing at the front.
