ASICS Tiger Gel-Lyte Okayama Denim Pack
Taking inspiration from the old-fashioned denim weaving methods, ASICS has announced the release of the GEL-Lyte III, GEL-Lyte V Okayama Denim Pack!
The pack reworks two ASICS icons in a premium black selvedge denim from Okayama. Okayama Denim is produced at the Nihon Mepmu Mill in Kojima, close to Kobe, the home of brand. The place where both GEL-LYTE III and GEL-LYTE V were developed.
The GEL-Lyte III features denim on the upper, offset by a white midsole and a reversed denim panel at the heel. The GEL-Lyte V is a more tonal affair, combining the denim upper with a mono sock-liner and a black sole unit. Both pairs subtly feature the detail that all denim aficionados look for – the tell-tale selvedge ID strip – which appears here in white and red beside the leather branding stripes. As a final touch, both colourways sport a red outsole pop at the heel to pick up on the selvedge ID.
