Denmark-based brand Wood Wood have joined forces with notorious sportswear retailer adidas Originals to release a new take on the popular adidas Ultra Boost.
Taking a very theoretical route for this project, the Wood Wood team formed an idea around the Big Bang, more specifically gravitational waves that followed the Big Bang event, which was first discovered as late as 2014. The waves were initially shown and shared in the scientific community through a chart showing line segments crossed by shaded areas of orange and blue, and this chart served as the inspiration for the Wood Wood team.
This new collection delivers two styles of the much-loved Boost – a lace-up black and white version for men and a white and grey blue for ladies featuring a geometrically pattern strap fastening system. Both silhouettes are branded with Wood Wood’s signature “W.W” decal imprinted on one tongue, with adidas branding on the other.
The adidas Originals x Wood Wood Ultra Boost will be available at Shelflife on the 27th of February 2016 for the retail price of R3499.00 - please note this is an in-store release only.
