Hamburg's legendary graffiti writer, Oz, died tragically on Thursday the 25th of September.
Hit by a train while painting, the body of 64-year-old Walter Josef Fischer was found in the early hours of the following day. An array of spray cans and a freshly painted mural unfinished piece were found nearby.
Prior to his death, the notorious graffiti artist had accrued over an estimated 120 000 tags throughout Germany, and had continued to scatter his infamous spirals and smiley faces across the city, despite multiple charges of vandalism and court issued jail sentences.
