UNION x Jordan 'Future is Now'
When UNION and Jordan get together, it's always special. This week the Air Jordan 2 and apparel for their 'Future is Now' collection drops exclusively to Shelflife in SA. The pack focuses on celebrating and uplifting the community that's already building your future, with the collection showing what futuristic gear might look like after it has been worn. "So often you see peoples vision of the future and is all crisp and sterile. We thought it might be fun to wear it in a little bit and make it organic." Said UNION's website.

"When putting this collection together the Jordan team asked us to think about what our future utopia might look like? The prevailing feeling was that if we keep on waiting for things to get better, well, then, we are just gonna keep on waiting. . . “The Future is Now” as they say...there are tons of dope organizations and individuals in our community that have already started creating our future. This editorial aims to shine a light on just a few of those people and places here in los angeles that are already helping to create our future utopia."
The UNION x Air Jordan 2 sports a light grey nylon and suede upper with light blue piping accents. Perforations are added to the sides, and bright yellow “UNION LA” tags decorate the eye stays while a retro-style identification tag rests on the ankle collar. An exposed foam tongue, co-branded tongue tags, bright yellow in-soles, and crisp white sole units below complete the look. In addition to the sail laces, alternate lacing options are also available in white and yellow.
For apparel, everything from short and long-sleeved graphic print tees with playful remixes of the AJ logo to light outerwear and pants are offered in a balanced spring palette.
The collection includes jackets, hoodies, crewnecks, a long-sleeve graphic tee, short-sleeve tees, shorts and track pants. The jacket arrives in blue and yellow, with a reversible material for water-repellent coverage when wet weather hits. The hoodies, tees, shorts and crewneck arrive in a similar colour palette with co-branded "Frontman" and "Jumpman" logos. Other tees feature the "Frontman" logo front and centre, with a retro "FLIGHT" logo below. For the track pants, the fleece versions arrive in blue and yellow with retro patches similar to the Jordan 2. The nylon pants arrive in the same material as the jackets with co-branding and patches.

The online raffle for the Air Jordan 'Grey Fog' opens 20 July at 7pm for 1 hour only. Winners contacted 21 July before 3pm.
Live store raffles will take place on Saturday 23 July. Armbands handed out from 9:30am, raffles start at 10am.

1. This raffle is free and open to all people residing in South Africa ONLY.
2. By entering your name, shoe size, valid bar-coded ID or Passport and email address, your name will be entered into the draw for the opportunity to buy one pair of the UNION x Air Jordan 2 - 'Grey Fog' in your size and selected colourway at the given date and time.
3. To qualify for the opportunity to purchase online, you must have a confirmed online profile/account with Shelflife.co.za. To create your account, please sign up. Please ensure your account is updated with contact details, and shipping information. If you have already created an account with Shelflife.co.za in the past you do not need to create a new one.
4. After completing an online profile, you can enter the raffle via our dedicated link with your details from 7pm on Wednesday the 20th of July until 8pm. If you enter multiple times you will be disqualified.
5. Your entry is valid only if the following requirements are met:
• You have a valid Shelflife account with the email address matching the one used for the raffle entry
• Your valid delivery address is saved to the Shelflife account before entering the raffle.
• You have not entered multiple times with the same name, email address or ID number.
• You are residing in South Africa.
6. The winners will be drawn at random and will be contacted and invoiced between 8am and 3pm on the 21st of July, via email only (please make sure the email you have created for your online profile matches your online competition form). Online Raffle Winners will have until Friday the 22nd of July 3pm to make payment for their online order at the store they selected on the raffle entry form.
7. Successful entrants will be eligible to purchase their size they have selected ONLY in the online raffle form and must settle payment in full prior to receiving their pair.
8. Each successful entrant will have the right to purchase one pair of the UNION x Air Jordan 2 - 'Grey Fog' in the size and colourway they indicated on their entry. Entrants may not swap sizes nor request another size than the one they indicated in their entry.
9. The UNION x Air Jordan 2 - 'Grey Fog' costs R4199 each and is payable via online order only. All info is contained in the winning email.
10. Shelflife has the final say in all sales of the UNION x Air Jordan 2 - 'Grey Fog'.

2. Raffle arm bands will be handed out by Shelflife employees for 30 minutes until the live raffle draw begins at 10am. No participants can join after the the raffle begins.
3. You must have a valid ID/passport with a matching credit/debit card in order to purchase.
4. If your number gets called you gain access to the store to purchase one of the release sneakers. Please note sizes are limited and Shelflife cannot guarantee pairs, and or sizes. Only one entrant may enter and cannot be accompanied by anyone. Entrants must be over the age of 12 years old.
5. No swapping of arm bands are permitted, broken arm bands will not be accepted.
