International Public Art Festival in Cape town

Baz-Art is pleased to bring us the 3rd International Public Art Festival (IPAF2019), that started last week Saturday and runs until 17 February this weekend.

IPAF is a community based street art event hosted this year by Baz-Art in Salt River. The theme for this year's annual International Public Art Festival is: “GENERATION NEXT: EDUCATE, COLLABORATE, EMPOWER.”

Building on the environmental theme of last year’s festival, ‘Nature Doesn’t Need Us. We Need Nature’, the 2019 theme represents a renewed focus on the future and the responsibility of present and successive generations to create a better world for all.

IPAF 2019 will once again harness the immense power of public art to engage individuals, communities, businesses and others on our chosen theme, reinforcing our collective responsibility for each other and the well being of the planet.

Book a street art tour around Salt Lake and be guided on a journey of interpretation and deeper meaning behind each piece. as well as an immersion into the unique cultural history of the Salt River, Woodtsock and the Cape Malay community. This street art tour of two hours will be run by a trained local tour guide who is knowledgeable on the art displayed as well as the history of the Salt River area. Book a tour here!
